Willow
Elementary had a Gold Medal Mile assembly and made a
goal to split into 2 teams and have a race from the east coast
and the west coast to Promontory Point in Utah. Their goal is
to walk as many miles in their community as they would if they
were actually walking across the country. One team
will
start in Omaha, Nebraska, the other team will start in Sacramento,
California. The winning team will receive a prize. Each
mile they walk will be recorded. What
a fun way to keep walking toward physical fitness! |

Students practice riding a safety course and learned some rules |
Staff offered a Bike a Thon during 2006. Each class went through the training, and had a lesson on bike helmet safety. |
