Tooele's Gold Medal Mile was established through collaborative efforts between the Tooele County Health Department, the Salt Lake Olympic Organizing Committee, and the Utah Department of Health.

It's mission is to keep the olympic spirit alive by improving the quality of life for all individuals in our community by providing a safe and beautiful place to walk or jog for health benefits. We are proud of our Gold Medal Mile and encourage all members of our community to use it.

To locate the trailhead, turn east on 400 North (Smelter Road). Travel past Drouby Road and you will see it on the right hand side of the road.

Hikers and bikers alike use the Gold Medal Mile.

It's easily accessible and great for the whole family.

Continue up Smelter Road after you finish the Gold Medal Mile on the Tooele Valley Overlook. You'll find a spectacular view when you finish.
