Tooele County Health Department offers free or reduced cost breast exams, pap tests, and pelvic exams to women ages 40 to 64. Many women also qualify for a free mammogram voucher sponsored by the Utah Cancer Control Program.

New Colon Cancer Screening Services!  Cancer Control ProgramThe Utah Cancer Control Program has received a grant from the Center of Disease Control (CDC) to offer free colonoscopies to Utah Residents who qualify!  Follow this link for information

 

 

The health department also provides immunizations for HPV, known as the Human Papillomavirus. 

The health department also provides Skin Cancer Prevention by offering a free skin cancer screening clinic each year.  Phone the health department for more information.

Cancer is a word which describes a group of diseases that share the same character of uncontrolled growth and spread of abnormal cells in the body. It's a complex disease. There are over 100 different types of cancer.

A rare type of cancer which has been in the news lately is called Mesothelioma

  • a rare form of cancer in which malignant (cancerous) cells are found a protective sac that covers most of the body's internal organs
  • Most people who develop mesothelioma have worked on jobs where they inhaled asbestos particles or worked around dust particles. For more information,
