Ready to Eat Food Handling

1.1 |
To establish a requirement of no bare hand contact by food establishment service workers with ready to eat foods in Tooele County, Utah. |

2.1 |
Food employees shall wash their hands as specified under R392-100 and whenever changing gloves if disposable gloves are being used. |
 |
2.2 |
Except when washing fruits and vegetables as specified under R392-100, Section 3-302.15, or as specified in Section 3.0 of the regulation, food employees may not contact exposed, ready-to-eat food with their bare hands and shall use suitable utensils such as deli tissue, spatulas, tongs, single-use gloves, or dispensing equipment to handle ready-to-eat food. |

2.3 |
Food employees shall minimize bare hand and arm contact with exposed food that is not in ready-to-eat form. |

3.1 |
Any person failing to comply with this regulation will be subject to action specified in Sections 26-23-6 and 26A-1-123 of Utah Code. |

Should any section, subsection, paragraph, or sentence of this regulation be declared invalid for any reason, such decision shall not affect the validity of the remaining portion of this regulation.
