The Tooele County Health Department along with the State Health Department and other local health districts have launched a statewide campaign which contains T.V. Media spots in an effort to educate all residents of Utah how to stay safe this summer including media spots and the poster on the right.  The message?  Would you like this Crypto Man in the pool with you?

Cryptosporidium, (shortened to Crypto) is a devastating illness caused by a parasite so small it can't be seen by the naked eye.  In fact, millions and millions of these parasites are released through a watery diarrhea expelled by a fecal bowel movement from someone who has been infected with Crypto.  The disease can be explosive and debilitating.  It can last for weeks and weeks only to dissapear and re-appear again without warning.
