The Tooele County Health Department would like to remind all those who live in Tooele County to think health and safety this summer - take aggressive steps to help stop crypto infection. Healthy Swimming

Healthy behaviors will help protect you and your kids from RWI's and help stop germs from getting in the pool in the first place.

 

  • Don't swim when you have diarrhea
  • Please don't allow sick children to swim
  • Don't swallow water - ever!  If your child can't avoid swallowing water - don't allow them to swim
  • Good hygiene will always pay off!
         CryptoBe a role model - shower with soap and water before and AFTER swimming
         CryptoMake sure your kids shower before and after swimming and all water sports
         CryptoTake your children on bathroom breaks regularly
         CryptoDon't wait to hear "I have to go" - that probably means it's TOO late
         CryptoChange diapers in a bathroom - NEVER poolside
         CryptoWash your child's bottom thoroughly with soap and water - fecal matter          adheres to skin
         CryptoWash  your hands thoroughly with soap and water
