Anyone who participates in water sports are more susceptible to Crypto than those who don't. Those who play with or share water toys are at a much higher risk of Crypto.
Other things may put you at risk:
- Having children who attend day care centers
- Babies and toddlers who are still wearing diapers
- Child care workers
- Parents who have infected children
- Being a caregiver to someone known to have Crypto
- Those who travel internationally and eat and drink in unsafe places
- Bikers, hikers, and those who drink unfiltered water
- Anyone who drinks from an untested water source
If you suspect you may have Crypto, see your health care provider. They will take a stool sample and have it tested. |

Don't allow your children to share water toys in the swimming pool. Even though they may know the children they are playing with they are at a higher risk of getting sick. Don't allow your child to put toys in their mouths.
Always shower after swimming! And be sure to use soap! |
