- There is no vaccine available right now to immunize against Novel H1N1 Virus or S-0IV flu, but the process of developing the vaccine has began
- Tooele County Health Department does have antiviral medications in its arsenal against flu.

Personal activities: |
- Stay at home if you are sick - school, home, work, etc
- Cover your nose and mouth when you cough or sneeze
- Cough or sneeze into your clothes (elbow, arm pit) so germs will not enter the air
- Wash your hands often - use soap and water - especially after you cough or sneeze
- Use an alcohol-based hand sanitizer if you can't wash with soap and water
- Practice "Social Distancing" which means staying away crowds
- Cough into your sleeve, (elbow, armpit) to prevent spreading
- Stay home if you are sick

If you have not developed a "Family Plan" now is the time: |
- Store extra food for every member of the family - including pets
- Store at least a gallon of water per day for each family member - pets too
- Have a family emergency plan and practice it - your family may get separated
- Store extra medicine for all members of your family - pets included
- Purchase a box of facemask's to use IF you are sick
- Store extra hygiene products for all members of the family (shampoo, deodorant, body wash or soap, and other personal products)
