Anyone who has a sexually transmitted disease (STD), or who is at high risk of getting a STD is eligible. The fee is determined by the services rendered, and of the client's ability to pay.
Services include: immunizations, epidemiological follow up on cases, investigation of possible reportable communicable diseases as well as HIV/AIDS testing.
Communicable disease which are bacterial can be treated and cured. Diseases spread by a virus (such as HIV/AIDS) cannot be cured.
| Tooele County Health Department's Communicable Disease Program offers rapid identification and treatment of a sexually transmitted disease. Case follow up, epidemiological work, referral, treatment, education and prevention are provided to Tooele Residents through this program. |
